Great Gifts For Mom

As a member of a large family and having grown up in an environment that always upheld strong values within,  I was never really surprised why overtime there was an occasion at home, people just started pouring in to share in the joys and fun we always had.  It was always expected that relatives and even close family friends were present during these wonderful events.  There were Christmas holidays and birthdays, just to mention a few of these treasured moments.

As easy as it seems, these gatherings were quite difficult to organize in reality.  There are preparations to make and close coordination that need to be established among everybody, most especially if it involves the nature of surprise.  Just recently, we had thrown a big party for our beloved matriarch who just turned seventy years.  It was really a very heart-warming sight to see the obvious expression on her face when she got to open presents coming from everyone.  These are moments that could never be replaced and will be kept in our memories for lifetimes to come.  All our efforts have really paid off after having to witness what she had truly felt.  It is always something when we make sure to provide great gifts mom will love.  I and my sisters know that this is very much true.

Portable Barricades

I have been involved in the field of marketing and retailing for as long as I can remember and I do have to admit that I have been quite successful.  Being able to mention that it had certainly made me very happy ever since is quite an understatement since it had practically provided our family with most of our necessities.  It was not so long ago that both I and my husband have decided to expand our operations and have ventured into other localities as a consequence of potentially growing markets and promises of further success.

Just recently, we were able to set up an outlet not far from the most recent one we developed and were just completely amazed at how well it did during the first few days.  The reception and the inflow of people were just fantastic, although it could have been mainly on account of the marketing strategy we had arranged prior to its opening.  As successful as it was, I was a bit concerned about crowd control since we were a bit short on help and things got slightly out of hand during the latter part of the opening week.  So as some sort of assurance to keep things within control and manageable, we have immediately purchased  portable barricades that could easily be applied to maintain an orderly environment.

Djarum Black

I have been married to my husband for almost 10 years now and I could literally say that I practically know him inside and out.  However, although there are advantages, I do honestly believe that sometimes, it just leads to certain things like arguments and discussions.  In almost all probabilities, it is on account of differences in opinions and just plain disagreement.

Granted that things have just been more than smooth between the both of us, there are still a lot of matters that we need to sort out and some of them are just as simple as anything.  It was just recently that I have finally sat down with him to talk about his smoking habits and I was really surprised how it turned out soon after.  We have finally agreed that lighting a cigarette indoors is no longer tolerable and he has to take the nearest exit, either to our backyard or the front porch, to fulfill his craving.  I really felt guilty after all this, and he being open-minded and very receptive, just made I feel bad all the more.  As a form of peace-offering, I have actually gotten him a pack of djarum black which was actually new to him and have never seen him as satisfied as he was when he took his first stick.

Worm Composting Bin

I grew up in a family that believed in doing things the natural way most of the time.  The best example of this would be the dinner table where we would have some of the most nutritious and healthy foods readily available.  This is a consequence of both my parents belonging to a long line of medical practitioners and having said this, this wonderful practice have been passed down through a couple of generations.

Our home is basically located within a suburban setting and both my husband and myself have ever since enjoyed the calmness and serenity of such an environment.  The children just love going through something new each day which is provided by our backyard.  It was just lately that my hubby came up with a great idea of growing things ourselves.  So, one weekend, he decided to gather everyone for an activity that would get everybody as excited as anything.  We had cleared a specific area in the garden that was for the sole purpose of growing vegetables.  Near these plots that we made is a huge  worm composting bin at CompostBins.com that could produce enough organic fertilizer from our own recyclable garbage.  We are now very anxious in coming up with our first harvest from this.

Personalized Coins

Grand family reunions have always been something to look forward to in attending, most especially when it involves several generations of kin.  I have always wondered how well organized these occasions are often carried out when it takes lots of patience from drawing out plans to setting up dates up to the point of getting practically everybody committed.  It is not only a matter of providing the right venue but coming up with enough funding to gets it going.  Most often, it is always sponsored by someone belonging to the clan who is within the capacity to do so, after all, it does take people who is relatively in a very comfortable status.

Both I and my husband have taken the initiative together with another close cousin of mine to become sponsors end of this year.  Although expenses would probably cost us a great portion of our annual household budgets, it is the expected results that will prove it to be worth every effort.  Having accepted confirmation and approval of the final location and the menu to be served during this upcoming event, we have then focused on other items such as giveaways and memorabilia’s that would remind us of this glorious moment.  After all the deliberation and brainstorming among us cousins and in-laws, we were able to arrive at a specific item that could be out of the ordinary.  During one of our trips to the local malls in search of more ideas, we came across a novelty shop that had several great stuff that easily provided us with this decision.  It has been unanimously agreed upon that personalized coins were to be awarded to each individual family.  It will be designed in a way that it will bear our family’s name and an inscription of the year when the annual event was first initiated and the date of this year’s festivity.  I am more than sure that these will be kept for more generations to come by the ones who will get the chance to have these in their possession.

Gibson Guitars

I grew up in a family that learned to appreciate music as a whole.  Although only a few of us learned to play instruments, it was still apparent that we had it in us whenever we would have gatherings over at our grandparents’ home outside the city.  We would hold occasional parties among close relatives and friends on weekends and would make sure that there were programs the keep us well entertained, which involved a lot of singing and fooling around.  The children also had their share of sharing their talents in mixing it up with the grownups, which made it more interesting to witness.

I still remember the time when we were a lot young when my grandfather would pick up one of his gibson guitars and started to play for everyone whenever we would drop by for a visit.  It was one among those memorable occasions when we would just join in to sing or just plainly hum to the tune.  I was very fortunate to have a husband who practically shares the same interest in music and who happens to be quite skillful when it comes a six-string.  As old as my grandfather is, he still can come up with a few tunes that my husband could barely keep up with.  I think they call it jamming, as what as I was told later on. Because of the appreciation he saw in my husband, we were more than lucky to be a recipient of one his personal collections of classics, I do believe it was a late fifties vintage which he only got to fool around with on rare occasions.

Behringer Headphones

Ever since we have transferred to our new home a little more than a couple of years back, my husband has been nothing more than completely satisfied with what we have experienced since that time.  Although, it was nothing as easy as just moving things into house when we began to transfer, but every single repair and improvement we did over these past years finally paid off.  The children now have a bigger yard to play round in together with their neighborhood friends, I have full access to my kitchen and my husband just looks forward to spending his weekends in his workshop and music room adjacent to the garage.

I had to make special mention of the music room since he has intentionally built one to place all his equipment we had brought with us from our previous house.  Only to mention a few, a complete set of instruments that make up a small band, speaker monitors, small amplifiers, lots of cables and a couple of decks of music sources like compact disc players and the like.  I still remember when I joined him one afternoon when we dropped by the local music shop to pick up a pair of behringer headphones which he had hooked up to his personal player.  Now I only get to see him during lunch and dinner at weekends, but the important thing is that he is always around most of the time

Cute Teddy Bears

Being close to one’s growing up years can surely make someone reminiscent of the past.  Even after I have finally settled down with a wonderful husband, I still keep close to my heart some memorabilia’s of what made me who I am right now, and these include things from my childhood.  I presently maintain a small room where we get to keep stuff like these, which include those belonging to my husband.  Together with some of his precious collections of stamps, photos, music albums and such, I do have quite a few boxes full of mine.

I have to be quite honest when I say that we still find time browsing through them whenever we get the chance to and this helps us keep track of how we were and how wonderfully pleasant it was decades back.  It is one way of keeping in close touch of how things were and helped us realize what our children should be looking forward to as far as having good memories are concerned.  In fact, I still have a couple of my cute teddy bears which I had when I was a little over 5 years of age.  They always kept me company in bed and as far as I can remember, would comfort me whenever I was feeling down.  I would surely want the children to be able to experience such wonderful things and both I and my husband feel that it is part of the obligation of being parents to impart whatever we can.
